Polyester love

I have an unstuffed teddy bear. They ran out of stuffing when I got him, so he is rather thin. But I kind of like him all Clifford-like and acrobatic, even though several people have felt sorry for him. Maybe I'll fatten him up on polyester, but love is just as good.

The days are getting longer and the school year is almost over. I walk on petals everyday--even plucked a branch of pink ones and stuck them outside my friend's door. The warmth is so lovely, but the ideas still come slow and I get more and more tongue-tied. Sat in the midst of people this evening and listened for once more than I talked. Bodily existence is a good thing.

Read a lot of big ideas this year, but haven't taken many small steps--occasions for regret. Was overly self-conscious, talked to myself too much, didn't laugh enough either. Occurred to me that easy last lines, despair and oversimplification, the saying of words whose meanings I don't understand should be avoided. And sleep is a good thing.
